Terms of Service

By ordering a commission from me, Shystar ("the Artist"), you ("the Client", "they") affirm to have read and agree to these Terms of Service listed below. Failure to abide by the Terms of Service may result in a rejected/ cancelled commission, and/ or a blacklisting. Please note that these Terms of Service may be subject to change without prior notice.These Terms of Service are in effect as of May 14th, 2026.

Section 1.1 - Will DrawThe Artist is willing to draw any of the following:- Feral animals
- Anthro animals (not including human/flat-faced anthro)
- Uncommon species, including most reptiles, amphibians, and sea life
- Closed and open species (with proper species reference(s)
- Dragons, unicorns, griffins, and other fantasy species
- Simple robots (ex. Murder Drones, Wall-e and Eve, etc)
- Original and fan characters
- Fanart and canon characters
- Couples, including poly, same gender, and OCxCanon relationships
- Large groups of characters
- Any body shape/size (excluding super muscular characters, I'm terrible at them!)
- Pin-up and nudity
- Implied sexual content and suggestive art (any gender, any sexuality - for adults with age or age range on profile only)
- Explicit sexual content (any gender, any sexuality - for adults with age or age range on profile only)
- Light gore (blood, detatched limbs, cuts, scrapes, etc)
- Robo-gore (such as for Murder Drones chars)
- Characters in appearance of the following age ranges:

-- Teenagers
-- Young adults (18 - 35 years old)

Section 1.2 - Will Not DrawThe Artist will not draw any of the following:- Humans and kemonomimi
- Super complex patterns/designs
- Heavy gore (spilling guts, complete dismemberment, etc)
- Mecha (ex. Transformers, Bionicle, etc.)
- Heavy Armor
- Elderly-appearing characters (56+ years old)
- Sexualized underage (17 years or under) characters (in actual age and appearance)
- Pedophilic relationships
- Human x feral animal sexual content (human x anthro IS okay!)
- Incestuous relations
- Certain kinks/ fetishes mostly dealing with bodily fluids/waste (ex. watersports, scat, vomit); the Client is asked to confirm with the Artist beforehand if a certain kink/ fetish is acceptable._{Back to Top}

Section 2 - General- The Artist has a right to refuse the commission for whatever reason, with or without explanation.
- The Artist has a right to cancel the commission for whatever reason, with or without explanation.

- The Client may NOT cancel a commission once payment has been made.
- The Artist has a right to upload the commission on any/ all social media unless specified by the Client beforehand to keep the commission private.
- Payment must be sent before any work is started. Payment plans are available for commissions totaling $150 or more but must be discussed beforehand.

- The Artist will not work with deadlines or rush orders.
- Commissions are worked on a first come, first serve basis.
- NSFW commissions may only be ordered by a Client 18 years of age or older. If the Artist has any reason to suspect the Client is underage while asking for an NSFW commission, the commission will be automatically rejected/ cancelled and a public service announcement may be made.
- Please allow up to eight (8) weeks for completion in the longest scenario for non-animated work. Most commissions, however, are completed within five - fourteen (5-14) days. Please DO NOT message the Artist about your commission's status until at least seven (7) days have passed after ordering. Doing so repeatedly may result in the Artist rejecting future commissions as the Artist does not want to feel unnecessarily rushed. Section 3 - Image Rights- The Client may make minor edits to the completed commission (ex. Cropping, Adding text/ borders, Changing Brightness/ Contrast/ Hue/ Saturation, etc.).
- The Client may use/ reupload the commission for personal/ non-commercial use, but only if proper credit to the Artist and a link back to any of the Artist's social media (see footer) is provided.
- The Client may move or resize the Artist's signature/credit, but it must remain readable.
- The Client may not use the commission for any commercial use, as an NFT, or for AI training.
- The Client may not claim the commission as their own work, whether they did or did not make any edits to the commission.
- The Artist does not claim ownership to any of the characters/ subjects portrayed in the commission. Characters belong to their respective creator(s)._{Back to Top}

Section 4 - Delivery/ Turnaround- All commissions will be done digitally. The Client is paying for a service/ digital good and will not require any shipping of any kind.
- All commissions will be sent via the method ordered (ex. Discord if ordered via Discord) with the completed commission .PNG file attached.
- Unless specified not to upload the commission to the public, commissions may be posted on the Artist's social media.
- Commissions will be posted on the Artist's social media after the Client has received and approved the original and unmarked commission file.
- The Client may choose to remain anonymous when the Artist publicly uploads the commission.
- Depending on the requested commission's complexity and queue length, the estimated turnaround is about one (1) week to two (2) months at the latest.
- If the Artist has to take longer than two (2) months to complete the commission for whatever reason, the Client will be contacted and informed of the status of their commission.
- Editable PSDs are kept for three (3) days after completion, during which changes can be made if the Client notices mistakes later on. After three (3) days, the file is deleted and no more changes can be made without further payment due to no longer being able to easily edit the artwork without the PSD. Please overlook your commission fully after completion to ensure it is satisfactory! The Artist is willing to fix/change anything within reason for no extra cost!
- The client should save the finished artwork to their own PC/phone/image host upon receiving it. The Artist may delete the finished piece from her PC after a few days/weeks to save space and will not replace or refund unsaved commissions!_{Back to Top}

Section 5 - Payment- Payment must be made in full upfront, within 48 hours of confirmation, unless a payment plan has been discussed beforehand.
- Payment plans are available for orders totaling $150 or more and must be discussed BEFORE placing commission. Payment plans are flexible but require payment of at least $15 per week/$30 every two weeks/$60 a month. Work will not begin until payment is received in full, but the Client's slot will be held until then.
- Payment plans may NOT be backed out of. If the Client has issues making payments, they are asked to contact the Artist to work out a longer plan. If a refund is absolutely needed, one will be provided, but the Client will no longer be able to pay via payment plans.
- Payment must be made via Paypal, Cashapp, or Ko-fi.
- Payment must be sent as USD (United States Dollars).
- The Client does not need to send extra to cover fees, but tips are welcome.
- The Artist does not accept gift cards, dA Points, or other fake currencies as payment._{Back to Top}

Section 6 - Refunds- If the Artist cancels the commission for whatever reason, the Client will receive a full refund, in addition to a .PNG file of whatever progress of the commission has been completed.
- Refunds will be given within 72 hours after correspondence.
- The Client will not be refunded if they are unsatisfied with the commission.
-- If the Client is unsatisfied with the commission, the Artist is willing to discuss and make minor edits (ex. adjusting colors or very minor details), up to a maximum of three (3) times after correspondence. Any desired major revisions (ex. reposing or otherwise redrawing, etc.) will be rejected without further payment.
-- The only major revisions permitted are details that the Artist may have missed and was specified by the Client in the order form/ correspondence while the commission was still in the sketching/ lineart stage (ex. missing tattoo that's essential to the character's design).
- If the Client has issues with wait time, the commission process, or the final result, they must contact and discuss with the Artist BEFORE filing any chargebacks/disputes. The Artist will work with the Client in most situations to come to a solution that makes both sides happy. Section 7 - Commission ProcessThe following is a sample of the Artist's commission process:- The Client must fill out the provided forms on the commission page in full and contact the Artist via Toyhouse, Keepsake, or Discord with the form. Contact will be through the service used to commission the Artist unless otherwise specified that contact should move elsewhere.
- The Artist will respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours to accept or reject the commission. Should the commission be accepted, payment and any further details will be discussed.
- The Client will receive a rough sketch of the commission for all commission types except mini headshots and symmetrical icons. All major revisions must be made during this stage. If large changes are requested after, they may be subject to extra charge or even rejection.
- After the Client approves the sketch, the Artist will work on and finalize the commission.
- After completion of the commission, the Client will receive the artwork's file as a .PNG (and a high quality .JPG if the art is particularly large, for Toyhouse uploading). Minor changes (ex. small color adjustments) may be made after completion but larger changes may only be done if they are mistakes made by the Artist (such as obvious missing markings).
- If permitted, the Artist may post a resized and watermarked version of the commission on social media or use it as examples of past work._{Back to Top}

Q. How do you accept payment? What currencies do you accept?
A. I ONLY accept USD via Paypal, Cashapp, and Ko-fi! I do NOT accept:

A. In most cases, sure, just ask me! You'll get a 50% discount on the extra character if it's one of mine. I will not draw my OCs in any sexual, shipping, or otherwise romantic way unless you're a close friend.Q. What won't you draw?
A. I will not draw anything depicting racist, overall hateful, misogynistic, sexist, homophobic, no consent, or that sexualizes minors. If you need this drawn please seek another artist.Q. Do you do commercial work?
